Class Reflection

This semester taking English 102 with professor Candia was very helpful. Being in this course taught me numerous skills with reading that I didn't have before. For example, I would have never learned to analyze a story as in depth we did. Now when I write any paper, I make sure to use all the analysis that I picked out from the writing.

After taking this course, I have a newfound respect for all the writers that we learned on the syllabus. I know that I could never write to the level that they do but I have the utmost respect for all of them for the work that they put out. I can now see how much complexity there is to each of these stories or novel that make you think more and more each time you read them.

My favorite part about this English class was being able to take an excerpt of a story, and completely break it down and find all the hidden meanings that the authors put into each line. In five years, I can see myself as a much more intelligent reader who actually thinks deep into all the little things that would slip by the average person.
